What Is Em-SAT?
The EmSAT is a national system of standardized computer-based tests, based on United Arab Emirates national standards.
The total time allotted for the test is about 125 minutes, but candidates can finish as soon as they have answered all questions in all sections.
This test aims at ensuring that students are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively participate in the modern knowledge based global society.All grade 12 Emirati students studying in public or private schools must take the EmSAT English, Math, Physics and Arabic. EmSAT Chemistry.
All non-Emirati grade 12 students studying in public schools, or in private schools that use the MOE curriculum, must take the EmSAT English, Math, Physics and Arabic tests. In addition, non-Emirati students who are enrolled in an advanced track (or equivalent) must take the EmSAT Chemistry test.
All applicants to federal universities and colleges and national scholarships must take the EmSAT English, Math, and Physics exams as part of the admissions process.
EmSAT Types:
Baseline Test (Grade 1)
Measures grade 1 students’ skills and knowledge. It provides decision makers with data on grade 1 students’ performance as they transit from kindergarten to general education.
Advantage Test (Grade 4-10)
Tracks the development of students’ skills and knowledge as they go through their general education. It provides decision makers with data on students’ performance as they transit from grade 4 until grade 10.
Achieve Test(For Grade 12)
Measures grade 12 students’ skills and knowledge as they complete their general education and move to their higher education. It provides decision makers with data for college admission and placement.
