NEET (UG), formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), is an all India pre-medical entrance test for students who wish to pursue undergraduate medical (MBBS), dental (BDS), and AYUSH (BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, etc.) courses in government and private institutions in India and also, for those intending to pursue primary medical qualification abroad NEET is been conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) has been established as a premier, specialist, autonomous, and self-sustained testing organization to conduct entrance examinations for admission/fellowship in higher educational institutions. Around 600 colleges take admission through NEET for approximately 40000 seats
Important Points for NEET
- The minimum age of the candidate is 17 years completed at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.
- There will be 45 questions in each Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology that consists if 180 questions in total
- NEET consists of grade 11 and 12 syllabus for Physics, Chemistry and Biology
- Generally cutoff percentile for NEET is 40% above
